Forget acting, Henry Winkler‘s favorite role is being a grandpa!
In an exclusive new interview with Closer Weekly, the 71-year-old star gushed about his four grandchildren (and one on the way!) and admitted he and his wife adore living close to their extended family.

“I love being a grandparent,” Henry told Closer at a recent book signing for his 33rd children’s book and ninth in his popular Here’s Hank series. “I thoroughly enjoy myself.”

“We spoil them with love,” the Happy Days star continued, referring to his wife of nearly 40 years, Stacey Weitzman. Henry and Stacey, 69, are parents to two children, daughter Zoe Emily Winkler, 37, and son Max Winkler, 33.

In a recent interview with Parade, Henry admitted one of his grandchildren has watched him in Happy Days!

“My wife and I babysat our four-year-old grandson, who is allowed to watch one show before he goes to bed. He has Happy Days on his DVR. He turned to me, he said, ‘That’s you. Your hair was different. You were skinnier then,'” the actor revealed. Too cute!

Henry previously admitted his grandkids were too little to fully understand that he’s famous. “They’re too young,” he said in 2014. “They know me only as Papa!”
