One thing we know about Costco fans: They are very loyal to the brand. Members happily line up to get their favorite products at the wholesale store, whether it's the affordable rotisserie chicken, seasonal baked goods, or toilet paper to last the rest of the year. No matter what's on your shopping list, a trip to Costco is not complete without a stop by the famous food court. (Make sure you don't fill up on samples first!)

Here's what you need to know about the offerings before you stop by.

Do you need a Costco membership to visit the food court?

Some shoppers report visiting the food court without a membership, but a representative from Costco told Country Living, "Costco is a membership club, therefore, you must have a membership card to enter the warehouse and/or food courts." In some locations, stores are testing out scanning membership cards upon entry, so be sure to have your card ready to go.

When is the Costco food court open?

Hours may vary by location, but warehouse hours are typically 10-8:30 Monday-Friday, 9:30-6 Saturday, and 10-6 Sunday. The food court is open during normal operating hours, but keep in mind that you'll want to place large orders (for a full pizza, for example) in advance of that closing time. Remember that all Costco locations close for seven holidays each year (New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day), so the food court will be closed during those days too.

What menu items are available at the Costco food court?

  • Hot dog and Drink Combo, $1.50: This menu item is super-popular with Costco customers, and for good reason. The price for a quarter-pound all-beef hotdog and 20-ounce drink (they carry Pepsi products) is $1.50, and that has not changed since 1985.
  • Turkey Swiss Sandwich, $6.99: After less than a year, the Roast Beef Sandwich has been replaced! The $9.99 price tag gave some customers sticker shock (understandable—that's more than a whole pizza!), so it's no surprise that it didn't last long. The new sandwich is made from oven-roasted turkey, Swiss, sun-dried tomato spread, mayonnaise and mustard. It comes in at $3 less than the roast beef version.
  • Pizza, $1.99-$9.95: The Costco pizza is a staple in our household. Options are limited, but the price is hard to beat. You can choose from cheese or pepperoni, and the pizza is sold by the (huge) slice for $1.99 or an 18-inch whole pizza for $9.95. Order the whole pizza when you start your shopping trip, or call ahead.

  • Soda, $0.69: Shopping can make you thirsty! Pick up a 20-ounce soda (Costco offers Pepsi products) and get a refill on the way out of the store.
  • Ice Cream Sundae, $2.49: The affordable sundae starts with vanilla ice cream and comes topped with your choice of strawberries or chocolate.
  • Ice Cream Cup, $1.99: You can't beat the simple ice cream cup. Choose from vanilla or strawberry.
  • Chocolate Chip Cookie, $2.49: The oversize cookie comes warm and is big enough to share if you're feeling generous. It replaced the churro on the menu in January 2024. It's a delicious treat but be sure to grab some extra napkins for the gooey chocolate!

  • Mango Smoothie, $2.99: For a fruity treat, try the mango smoothie, which comes with four servings of fruit and no added sugar.
  • Rotisserie Chicken Caesar Salad, $6.99: Fans of the famous rotisserie chicken should try this salad option that combines rotisserie chicken breast, romaine, Parmesan cheese, and creamy caesar dressing.
  • Chicken Bake, $3.99: The chicken bake is a lot of food for less than $4. It includes chicken breast, cheese, bacon, and Caesar dressing wrapped in bread.
